Yasuko Kanno is a metal jewellery artist based in Japan. She creates art jewellery under the name e c l e o.
For many years, her work was characterised by simple, comfortable designs, mainly hand‑fabricated in silver. Her basic lineup included a series of mitsuro hikime with gemstones and Japanese irogane alloys.
Through her ongoing practice with lost‑wax casting, her work has evolved into a line of jewellery employing original techniques and forms. She continues to create by discovering something new in each piece and shifting her ideas from one work to the next.
